Just bought messen a double CD/USB player for me home studio.

I hadn't realised that it would come with all the modern day DJ gizmos,
like 'scratch' for e.g.

Nothing new there. I was scratching 78s back in the 50s, with much the
same effect.

BTW, noticed by accident that I had forgotten to upload today's prog to
the station computer schedule. I realised when I tuned in and the
station was playing The Rolling Stones 'Angry'. I would never schedule
that. It's crap.

Promble is, nobody else seems to have noticed that my prog wasn't on!

Now I know how John Peel felt. Many megafortnights ago when he was on
pirate radio doing a night shift, he cued up track one of an album, and
promptly fell asleep. He woke up with the needle wooshing around the
miggle of the LP. A quick check of the time revealed that he had missed
a news bulletin, and two ad breaks.

What pissed him off was nobody noticed that either!

He was having problems with his account/newsreader (can't remember
which) so he has reverted to the Hymermut moniker.

Story I remember from many years to come ago...
Seems there was a late-night 'host' who merely cued up whatever was
scheduled. One night he put on a long-play record of a Bible thumping
evangelist, then went off for his late coffee & snack. In the
'miggle', as you say, the needle hit a scratch and stuck... and when
he returned, it seems the possible audience had been treated to 15-20
minutes of "..go to Hell..click "..go to Hell..click//"..go to
Hell..click..."..go to Hell..click..."..go to Hell..click...."
Can't remember if anone really noticed..

I could regale you with many 'live' radio horror stories. One of the
worst was presenting a whole hour show with a live well-known singing
guest on Chiltern Radio (over five counties north of that Lodnol), but
because a studio 'engineer' hadn't thrown a studio transfer switch, the
audience were treated to an hour of dead air.

Again, nobody complained!
