I have new enhanced pee capability, courtesy of a surgeon, general
anaesthetic, sleep, (unmentionables) and rest.

Much recommended if ye can, no more fiddling with catheters.

Though a bit like after having the water main pipe replaced to the
house, sometimes can't tighten down the stop cock quick enough.

I'm temporarily soggy :-(

Incontinence pads are very absorbent and well-sealed (3 good-sized pisses
before they start to overflow) and not at all smelly. I recalls my old Dad
forever taking me to one side and asking "do I smell of piss?". He never
did.

Well, each to their own. AFAIK Dad never used incontinence devices of any
sort, so he had small leakages into his underpants, which was the cause of
his anxiety. I have big leakages and used to be quite worried about it
until I started wearing the pants - but now, no problems.
