Congratulations to Ireland on their first Test win. To beat Afghanistan
in the UAE is no mean feat.

and in 3 days too. Afghans were without a few players like Rashid [in a T20
somewhere?], but as the pitch seemed to give help to the seamers, he may
have not made much difference.

They are the 4th team whose first Test win was not at home, after
England and Pakistan, who each won the 2nd Test of their inaugurual
series, in Australia and India respectively, after losing the 1st, and
Afghanistan themselves, whose first win was against Ireland in Dehradun
in 2018/19 (and who have never played a Test at home).

He's currently recovering after back surgery, and hasn't played since
the World Cup.
