A cyclist has been injured after a hit and run in east Hull.

A car collided with the woman at the junction of Ashendon Drive and Woodhall Street, before driving away. The vehicle is described as being dark-coloured and was heading towards Stoneferry Road.

The cyclist was not seriously injured in the collision, which happened at around 11pm on Wednesday.. Anyone who witnessed the incident is being asked to contact the 101 number.

Humberside Police said: "Officers investigating a road traffic collision involving a car and bike at the junction of Ashendon Drive and Woodhall Street, are appealing for information following the incident on Wednesday. Following the collision, what has been described as a dark-coloured vehicle failed to stop at the scene before leaving in the direction of Stoneferry Road at 11pm.

"Thankfully the woman riding the bike was not seriously injured as a result of the collision. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash cam footage in the area around this time, is also asked to call our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 777 of June 13."
