Do I strip the leaves off the lower levels of the vines to let the sun
reach the fruits, or leave them on to help sustain the plants?
Opinions seem divided.

Gardening in West Cornwall, very mild, sheltered
from the West, but open to the North and East.

I t3end to strip the old big leaves having been told that there was plenty
of spare capacity.
Even the stems are bright green, so photosynthesising.

As I usually grow in growbags close to a wall, I usually strip off those
lower large leaves that stop the sun reaching he fruit, but leave them
alone on the back.

My father always stripped the leaves once he felt there were enough
fruits of a decent size. He said this helped them ripen, and he did have
success.
