BATHROOM REFLECTIONS

So who is that old man in’t mirror
Who stares at me out of’t glass?
He’s looking vaguely familiar
He’s watching me wiping me arse

He looks a bit like me old father
He’s been dead for thirty odd years
And a little bit like me dear mother
But she had much less hairy ears

Whenever I move copies he
As I stand and pull up me drawers
He watches me back when I pee
Against that there should be some laws

He mimics each move that can matter
When I shower he glares through the haze
His portal I think I’ll just shatter
And banish his voyeuristic ways

Mirrors are banned in this household where they might capture a view of
me hairy arse.

More like me Mum than me Dad. When young I looked like the pictures of
my younger Dad; I was his Doppelgänger. But he died 55 years ago at two
thirds of my current age. Now apart from my beard, my maternal
grandfather looks back at me. He died at 91, unfortunately and
worryingly with Dementia.

Ditto. I am told that hairy years in old men is one of the few
characteristics that old men had inherited on their Y chromosome from
their dear old Dads. My Dad died before he could develop hairy ears.

See above on the location of mirrors. I have not seen my shoelaces for
many years <grin>

You need to re-position your mirror. Ours is so placed that I only
stand in front of it after getting out of the shower - at which point
it's completely fogged up and hence not a problem.
