The case of a driver who crashed into and nearly killed a cyclist has been
described as a “stark reminder” of the dangers of drink driving.

Following the conviction, Police Constable Gavin Newbury said “There is no
doubt that if the cyclist had not been wearing a protective helmet this
collision would have been even more serious.”

Holly Ann Davies was convicted, and PC Newbury’s role is, from the link,
