Whenever we get a pair of smartly-suited earnest young men with their
Sunday faces on the doorstep, or ditto young ladies, I ask them before
they can open their mouths "Mormons or Witnesses?" It's guaranteed to
get rid of them instantly.

Otherwise, if they turn out to be Witnesses (my favourite auntie was
one) ask if they're among the 144,000 who will be going to Heaven.
Only the first among them get to go there. The JWs see unfavourable
doorstep responses as "chastising the soul" to make them fitter for
their ultimate reward, whatever that may be.

If they're Mormons tell them you're a Witness and they are heretics.

Pah, what do they know about it. That would result in what my dear old
white-haired granny would call "water bewitched, tea begrudged".
Myself, I'd call it "maiden's water".

Yes, of course, but the 144,000 chosen few JW's question is fun.
I don't know enough about Mormonism to be able to twit them.

I see the teabags in the bin, mouldy after a day or two, no thanks to
leaving them in the teapot for a week!

Very worrying. They never seem to be interested in discussion and
dialogue. What do they want?! People who just uncritically accept what
they say? ;)

Another fun experiment for the tired is to use loose leaf tea and use
table spoons instead of tea spoons. Then you should be able to get it
sufficiently strong to give you a light buzz. =)

For another take on this theme, read up on Zavarka tea.

"How could I have forgotten zavarka, the Russian tea concentrate that
makes espresso look like penny candy! Zavarka, killer of the weak hearted!
Zavarka, the brown liquor that truly drives the Motherland! Zavarka, that
sharpens the world, enlightens the soul, warms the heart! Zavarka, the
last tea you'll ever need!".

That's true. Otherwise, how would Sn!pe know his name is Gordon and his
