Car exports from the EU to the UK have nearly halved in number since
Brexit, falling by €10bn (£8.6bn) in value.

This means that fewer Audi and BMW wankpanzers
are on the streets - surely good news for cyclists as these two makes
between them account for 120% of cyclist road deaths.

A cloud on the horizon is that Germany is keen for talks with the UK to
begin, to discuss easing trade between the two countries and also between
the UK and the EU.

German and British industry has complained about extra red tape - not just
for goods exports but also for worker travel.
