My rule of thumb is that a flower has to be at least half open to be
included.

Camellia hiemalis ‘Bonanza’
A chrysanthemum
A correa
Cyclamen
Edgeworthia chrysantha
Fuchsia thymifolia
Grevillea lanigera ‘Mt Tamboritha’
Grevillea rosmarinifolia ‘lutea’
Grevillea victoriae
A hebe
Helleborus foetidus (+ two other hellebores)
Lonicera frangrantissima
Mahonia aquifolium
Potentilla napalensis 'Miss Willmott'
Rosmarinus officinalis (pink flower)
Scabiosa ochroleuca
Viburnum tinus 'Lisa Rose'

Tub plants from last winter and summer:
Several polyanthus and zonal pelargoniums
Lobelia 'Crystal Palace'

In the greenhouse Salvia rutilans and Eucalyptus preissiana are in flower.

A few days ago we still had Rose 'Blue for you' with flowers, and
Chaenomeles superba ‘Pink lady’ has several buds with coloured petals
quite visible.

It feels like it hasn't stopped raining for more than six months so my
garden is more like a mudbath. Even the dwarf gorse is over, despite the
tradition that gorse never stops flowering.
But I've got daisies and dandelions!
I've got pink and white heathers. (species unknown)
The red (single) camellia has plenty of flowers (chinensis?)
Alpine strawberries in the greenhouse.
That is better than I expected anyway!

Oops! I forgot the berberis darwinii which can usually be relied on to
flower out of season.

Jasminum nudiflorum, Viburnum x farreri, probably Chenomeles
"Crimson and Gold" and nothing else I saw, though a Lonicera
x brownii has some buds on it that won't open.

Regards,
Nick Maclaren.

These from memory, as I've been out most of the day and it's dark now,
spitting with rain and blowing a gale and I'm damned if I'm going out
with a torch!

Camellia japonica 'High Hat' (been in flower for a couple of months,
and will continue to do so for another three. It has a red sport, and
when I get a round tuit I shall take cuttings, probably in the
Autumn).
Camellia cuspidata X C. saluenensis 'Winton'.
Camellia japonica X C. sasanqua 'Yuletide'.
Primula vulgaris.
Primula Wanda.
Strelitzia Regina in a tub in a sheltered corner, but the flower is
looking very sad and going over!
Cyclamen co um on the garden wall.
Callistemon citrinus splendens, one flower head.
Several evergreen azaleas just coming into flower.
Brugmansia coccinea (was Datura), two late flowers looking very
bedraggled!
Abutilon 'Nabob'.
Schizostylis coccinea major.

Chris

Gardening in West Cornwall, very mild, sheltered
from the West, but open to the North and East.
