The murder of cyclist Liam Jones in Birmingham has shaken a whole community, who turned out to remember the 22-year-old. Liam died close to the junction of Moat Lane and Vera Road in Sheldon.

The tragic spot became a focal point for flowers, messages and a poignant release of balloons in his memory in the days after his death, shortly before midnight on Tuesday, August 1.

These photos in our gallery below show the many ways his family, friends and neighbours are paying tribute to Liam - described as a 'loving son, uncle and brother' by those that knew him best.
