Fisherton Street is currently undergoing significant road works, turning
the street into a temporary one-way system in the direction of the city
centre.

Cyclists going the wrong way leaving the city centre are being warned
they could receive tickets.

They are being urged to use Crane Bridge Road as an alternative route.

Salisbury Police took to social media to warn both delivery cyclists and
the general public of the dangers of cycling against the one-way system.

"Officers today visited Fisherton Street and almost instantly stopped a
commuter cycling the wrong way," the Facebook post read.

"If the issue continues, fixed penalty notes will be given out to
prevent this practice." ...

drive down Fisherton Street there [are] cyclists coming towards me.

"Cyclists have their own rules. If they get knocked off their bike, the
motorist gets the blame. The law needs to come down on them, and come
down on them hard," they said.

Police have advised cyclists to instead follow Crane Bridge Road, adding
only a minute onto the journey.
