Our latest named and shamed list contains 40 motorists who have been convicted of driving offences. They include those who still insist on driving without insurance and, sometimes, licences. Others have been caught not wearing a seatbelt or using their mobile phones while behind the wheel and one man was caught speeding at 82mph on the A52 in Derby.

Here are those whose cases have recently been heard at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court:

Simon Ascroft, 39, of Victoria Drive, Blackwell, Alfreton, was fined £220 and was ordered to pay £300 costs, an £88 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with six penalty points for driving while using a mobile phone in North Street, South Normanton, on March 16, 2023.

Charlotte Farrell, 35, of Wheeldon Avenue, Belper, was fined £120 and was ordered to pay £300 costs, an £48 victim surcharge and had her licence endorsed with five penalty points for driving without due care and attention in Chapel Street, Belper, on December 8, 2022.

Stacey Wilson, 57, of Ludgate Street, Tutbury, was fined £293 and was ordered to pay £90 costs and a £34 victim surcharge for speeding at 69mph in a 50mph limit in Lichfield Road, Barton-under-Needwood, on November 14, 2020.

Kevin Brown, 54, of Serina Avenue, Littleover, was fined £660 and was ordered to pay £300 costs, a £264 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed eight six penalty points for driving without insurance in Uttoxeter New Road, Derby, on March 4, 2022.

Carl Dalus, 33, of Newhaven Road, Derby, was fined £100 and was ordered to pay £110 costs, a £40 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with three penalty points for speeding at 57mph in a 50mph limit in Raynesway, Alvaston, on November 15, 2022.

Joe Helmsley, 30, of Church Road, Derby, was fined £100 and was ordered to pay £110 costs and a £34 victim surcharge for driving without a front registration plate in Church Street, Mansfield Woodhouse, on April 29, 2022.

Carl Phillips, 38, of Ash Crescent, Ripley, was fined £100 and was ordered to pay £110 costs, a £34 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with three penalty points for speeding at 57mph in a 50mph limit on the A52 Brian Clough Way, in Derby, on April 23, 2021.

Lawrence Smyth, 30, of The Croft, Measham, was fined £200 and was ordered to pay £110 costs, an £80 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with five penalty points for speeding at 49mph in a 30mph limit in Acresford Road, Overseal, on December 2, 2022.

Peter Stephen, 62, of Heath Road, Burton, was fined £80 and was ordered to pay £110 costs, a £32 victim surcharge and was disqualified from driving for six months, due to repeat offending, for speeding at above the 70mph limit on the M6 at Leyland, Lancashire, on July 24, 2022.

Richard Wildgoose, 45, of Wistanes Green, Wessington, was fined £800 and was ordered to pay £110 costs, a £320 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with five penalty points for speeding at 67mph in a 40mph limit on the M1 at Tibshelf, on February 27, 2023.

Muhammed Afsar, 28, of Stepping Close, Derby, was fined £220 and was ordered to pay £90 costs, an £88 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with three penalty points for speeding at 36mph in a 30mph limit in Osmaston Road, Derby, on March 26, 2023.

Michael Aldridge, 36, of Essex Road, Burton, was fined £276 and was ordered to pay £90 costs, a £110 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with six penalty points for driving without insurance on the A444 at Overseal, on May 18, 2023.

Simon Beresforde, 53, of Wharf Road, Pinxton, was fined £220 and was ordered to pay £90 costs, an £88 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with three penalty points for speeding at 36mph in a 30mph limit in Clover Nook Road, Somercotes, on March 23, 2023.

Doneva Blackburn, 43, of Hutton Street, Allenton, was fined £440 and was ordered to pay £90 costs, a £176 victim surcharge and had her licence endorsed with six penalty points for driving without insurance in Middleton Street, Normanton, on May 1, 2023.

Paul Booth, 49, of Courtland Drive, Alvaston, was fined £207 and was ordered to pay £90 costs, an £82 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with three penalty points for speeding at 59mph in a 50mph limit on the A52 Brian Clough Way, in Derby, on March 22, 2023.

Jamie Brookes, 38, of Garsdale Court, Alvaston, was fined £106 and was ordered to pay £90 costs, a £42 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with three penalty points for speeding at 57mph in a 50mph limit on the A52 Brian Clough Way, in Derby, on March 15, 2023.

Lewis Burgin, 34, of Haston Drive, Alfreton, was fined £144 and was ordered to pay £90 costs, a £58 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with three penalty points for speeding at 40mph in a 30mph limit in Nottingham Road, Alfreton, on March 29, 2023.

Richard Cannon, 54, of The Fleet, Belper, was fined £161 and was ordered to pay £90 costs, a £64 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with three penalty points for speeding at 36mph in a 30mph limit in Dale Road North, Darley Dale, on March 23, 2021.

Glen Carter, 50, of Gorse Close, Littleover, was fined £266 and was ordered to pay £90 costs, a £106 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with three penalty points for speeding at 36mph in a 30mph limit in Duffield Road, Derby, on March 12, 2023.

Ricky Davey, 30, of Milton Street, Derby, was fined £220 and was ordered to pay £90 costs and an £88 victim surcharge for driving while not wearing a seatbelt on the A50, near Derby, on April 26, 2023.

Marius Dobre, 38, of Sydney Street, Burton, was fined £440 and was ordered to pay £90 costs, a £176 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with six penalty points for speeding at 36mph in a 30mph limit in Woodland Road, Stanton, on March 23, 2023 and again at 38mph on March 25, 2023.

Claudio Gogolan, 21, of Walpole Street, Derby, was fined £660 and was ordered to pay £90 costs, a £264 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with six penalty points for driving without insurance or a valid licence in Cornwall Street, Derby, on August 5, 2023.

Paul Grzebisz, 50, of Field Lane, Derby, was fined £660 and was ordered to pay £90 costs, a £264 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with six penalty points for driving without insurance in Etwall Road, Willington, on April 5, 2023.

Ian Hitchen, 58, of Wyndale Drive, Ilkeston, was fined £107 and was ordered to pay £90 costs, a £42 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with three penalty points for speeding at 36mph in a 30mph limit in Dale Road, Spondon, on March 17, 2023.

Nicholas Howitt, 40, of Renfrew Street, Chaddesden, was fined £486 and was ordered to pay £90 costs, a £194 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with six penalty points for speeding at 55mph in a 30mph limit in Nottingham Road, Derby, on May 5, 2023.

Lukasz Kuzmicz, 39, of Devon Close, Chaddesden, was fined £220 and was ordered to pay £90 costs, an £88 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with six penalty points for driving while using a mobile phone in Nottingham Road, Derby, on April 18, 2023.

Zachariah Mahmood, 28, of Wilfred Street, Normanton, was fined £438 and was ordered to pay £90 costs, a £175 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with six penalty points for driving without insurance in Richmond Road, Pear Tree, on April 16, 2023.

Alex Martin, 47, of Mead Crescent, Burton, was fined £266 and was ordered to pay £90 costs, a £106 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with four penalty points for speeding at 42mph in a 30mph limit in Hartshorne Road, Woodville, on June 1, 2023.

Scott Mee, 43, of Welbeck Road, Long Eaton, was fined £75 and was ordered to pay £90 costs, a £30 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with three penalty points for speeding at 36mph in a 30mph limit in Quarry Hill Road, Ilkeston, on March 13, 2023.

Dominic Mehew, 28, of Hill Street, Ripley, was fined £220 and was ordered to pay £90 costs, an £88 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with three penalty points for speeding at 36mph in Clover Nook Road, Somercotes, on March 23, 2023.

Gabriel-Marian Moise, 45, of Market Street, South Normanton, was fined £660 and was ordered to pay £90 costs, a £264 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with six penalty points for driving without insurance on the A38, near Ripley, on April 18, 2023.

Sally Orme, 32, of Claramount Road, Marlpool, Heanor, was fined £52 and was ordered to pay £90 costs, a £20 victim surcharge and had her licence endorsed with three penalty points for speeding at 39mph in a 30mph limit in Nottingham Road, Derby, on March 23, 2023.

Haydn Price, 20, of Pentland Gardens, Long Eaton, was fined £153 and was ordered to pay £90 costs, a £61 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with four penalty points for speeding at 43mph in a 30mph limit in Tamworth Road, Long Eaton, on March 25, 2023.

Sonia Kaur Sahota, 36, of Glenmore Drive, Stenson Fields, was fined £100 and was ordered to pay £90 costs, a £40 victim surcharge and had her licence endorsed with three penalty points for driving while using a mobile phone in Hospital Lane, Mickleover, on March 3, 2023.

Amir Souwayah, 34, of Anmer Drive, Derby, was fined £225 and was ordered to pay £90 costs, a £90 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with four penalty points for speeding at 45mph in a 30mph limit in London Road, Derby, on March 3, 2023.

Marius Bulku, 27, of Renals Street, Derby, was fined £660 and was ordered to pay £90 costs, a £264 victim surcharge and was disqualified from driving for six months due to repeats offending for driving without insurance or a valid licence in Renals Street, Derby, on May 7, 2023.
