A WOMAN has been ordered to pay over £1,000 after failing to give information to police about her identity.

Debra Hearn, of Bernwood Road, Bicester, was stopped by officers on July 17 last year in South Wales after being suspected of committing driving offences – allegedly failing to comply with traffic signals in a Kia Niro.

However, the 65-year-old refused to give information relating to her identity and was subsequently charged.

At Cardiff Magistrates Court on December 29, Hearn pleaded guilty and was fined £660 but avoided disqualification.

She was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £264 and court costs of £90.

Six penalty points were also added to her driving record.

The total amount she will have to pay is £1,014 by January 26.
