The latest version of Outlook shows each email address separately
instead of presenting all the emails in a single inbox. Looking at
Google, this seems to be an issue without a solution. However, what
about creating a rule - Always move messages to a.b@c.d to Inbox?
Is there a simpler or better way?

Do you mean a lack of a unified in box, ie you have more than one email
account and want them all to end up in one place? As far as I know Outlook
for Windows has never had this feature, whereas Outlook for Mac has.

One way round it is to use eMclient, the free version supports two
accounts.

I use Thunderbird - I have 6 email accounts received on it. They are all
separate, but I can move mails between them.

I do mean that. My previous Outlook did this. I know there are lots
of complaints about it. Is there anything wrong with my approach
(which so far seems to be working)?

I have five to deal with.

I use !Pluto. :-)

Given that your sig says you use a RO 4te I wonder why you don't.

Simple. This comes from a RISC OS Machine and uses Pluto. Thunderbird is on
a Windows machine which is better for accessing items that I am sent by
others. RISC OS is getting better now that Iris has arrived.

!Iris is quite good. Although I tend to like !NetSurf as it can dodge some
of the stuff in web code, etc. e.g. being able to use a WebForum without
the ads, etc, being imposed on me. :-)

One of the reasons I like Outlook Express was being able to have
identities. IE I could in effect just get email from one address at a time.
This gives me time management, so as long as senders use the right one, I
can deal with personal email on one identity, and talking newspaper on
another and charity info on another, and as I need to actually take an
action to download the email account concerned I do not engage with what I
consider work, when I'm in relaxation mode. And no, I do not use social
media at all, unless I need to have a moan about the actions of a company
on Twitter due to them never responding to emails.
