I have a Humax recorder and a standard TV. I want to watch a prog on Sky Arts next week and I discovered that it's on channel 11 on my TV but beyond the normal first few channels on the list that we watch on a regular basis, there is no alignment between the TV and Humax box. Do I need to retune them both or is thiis normal?

It's on ch 11 on my TVs, too, so possibly your Humax needs retuning

What does "beyond the normal first few channels on the list" mean? Do
you mean in the 800s? Is there anything on channel 11 on your Humax?

Freeview tuners in the same location (and probably receiving their
signal from the same antenna) should all get the same EPG list and all
the channels in the same order. They should even "find" their channels
in the same order while auto-tuning.

So a retune of the FV tuners in the TV and the recorder is in order.

I don't understand the question. It might not be in your favourites, if your
set has this facility, but it will be there as all channels share
transmissions with others, so I'd expect to see it in the normal list.

What I mean are the normal BBC and Channel 4 that we watch. We never look beyond those chanels, so ,clearly, the Humax needs retuning. Thank you all for your rsponses.

OK, I have just retuned the Humax and Sky arts is now on channel 11. It didn't even appear on the list before. Weird that I wasm't asked to do a retuen in the past.

It used to be that we were reminded to retune, but the occasions got so

retuning, the answer is always 'Yes'. You hsve nothng to lose, and much
to gain.

Why couldn't you just say "channels 1-5" then? Why cloud it in vagueness?
