Where can I buy a Blake SR10A in Manchester?

Ot get one delivered at reasonable cost.

I can get one sent from the factory for £29.81 delivered, but that's
about a tenner more than I want to pay.

(Or would you recommend the Antiference TCX10A)?

Ooooh.... a group A brand new must be a rare beast. googles.....

Aha!

https://cpc.farnell.com/c/audio-visual/aerials-satellite/aerials-antennas/miscellaneous-aerials/group-a-aerials

The DIY sheds must now be selling Group K's now that covers 21 to 48
once they've sold all the Group W's (widebands)

(Group K is a group A and a Group B with a bit of overlap in the middle)

Really? I would have thought that price was about right. These are built
well, well they used to be anyhow. I think the worst aerial I ever had for
quality was a cheap import that looked a lot like the Jbeame multibeem, but
the plastic all started to go off with the UV after a couple of years, then
a pigeon knocked off some elements. Just goes to show, you get what you pay
for.

Check for bits of steel in contact with the aluminium (as per their LP
aerials).

Its all very confusing. Many moons ago I put together a home made
Antiference parabeam 18 element CD aerial and it worked fine, as I had one
to use as a pattern. I ganged them up and they worked fine. I often wonder
why folk don't build their own any more, It would be good enough for a loft,
less corrosion problems or water in the coax.
Incidentally is there a reason why most coax you get now is slightly
thicker and stiffer than in the analogue days? Is it merely better
screening and durability?

It's nice that people show concern for my wellbeing. My situation in a nutshell is as follows:
1. After a number of years on my own I have a new partner.
2. Five years down the line from the prostate removal my PSA blood test is causing the doctors some concern. I've had a CT scan which found nothing, so, I'm having a bone scan shortly.
3. I feel perfectly healthy and happy.

Yes I'm in a similar position re doctors, in my case its liver and pancreas,
and its one of those things like will I die off any of this, or just with
this.
If the latter, the side effects of treatment might be worse than the
ailment.
