We seem to have lost our signal from the Sudbury transmitter, is there
some sort of major atmospheric condition affecting the signal at the
moment? It seems odd that it has disappeeared almost completely.

We're to the East of Sudbury, on the edge of its service area but
usually get an OK signal.

Maybe our aerial has fallen down, too dark to see now.

There's a major lift on, as you'd expect with the heatwave, so don't
attempt a retune, and don't get on the roof.

Forget watching the telly, and enjoy the weather....

Well, certainly VHF had some unusual things on it for a while, but we get
that at this time of year. It does not mean that your aerial is not faulty
though. Maybe the pigeon droppings have now rotted it away.

Its been too hot for me. However the evenings and early mornings are when
the lifts normally occur, or if its very misty over a lot of places. I used
to love it in the old days picking up Tyne Tees test cards etc in
Chessington Surry, but of course those trying to watch local stations cursed
the patterning.
