In NZ they are the main carrier, seem OK over there?

Same here even with voice call services. Didn't get
an adequate signal inside my house, Optus and
Telstra are perfect. I still have an active vodafone
account because very unusually there is no
monthly charge at all, and I did get a new sim
which fits my latest phone to do a test when
my stupid sister who is on vodafone in inner
Melburg kept imessaging fine first thing in
the morning for her, but the imessages
fell back to SMS later in the day, presumably
because she was posting from somewhere
else in the house and she stupidly claimed
that her service was perfect,

The problem in my town is that vodafone bases are very
rare and even the ones they do have are fucked compare
with the optus and telstra bases. Must try the new sim
and see what the service is like now. I had the problem
very early on in the 2G days, before even 3G,

I don't operate like that.

Doesnt explain why they do fine in NZ and the UK.

The problem here appears to be that they dont have
anything like enough cash flow to pay for a decent
set of decent performance bases in this country.

More likely just the fact that the ended up last
so don't have the cash flow to pay for anything
better and because of that are stuck with
remaining last. Vodafone international clearly
isnt prepared to pour billions into the Oz market
and still end up last. Makes sense marketing wise.
