Mornin' from a cold, very wet, rainy, overcast, dull, dark and dismal
day here in South Yorkshire, with a chilling 10 mph wind from the North.
It's still raining and for most of the night I guess as everything is
sodden. Temperature out there is 5C (41F) but feeling more like 1C
(33.8F) with the barometric pressure just starting to rise again at
1011.4 mB with the RH showing as 95%. Forecast is for much the same
until late afternoon when the clouds will start to dissipate with clear
skies overnight. Temperature should peak at 6C (41.8F), feeling like 2C
(35.6F) in the early afternoon and then decrease to an overnight low
of -1C (30.2F), feeling more like -4C (24.8F). Have a great day when
and where you can, making sure that you stay safe.
Sootie was up, fed and out by 09:00. She returned, 10 minutes
later, thoroughly drenched. After 30 minutes of vigorous washing in
front of the gas fire she settled into an early, presumably to be
extended, midday siesta.
Tabby ate the meal I left out for her but hasn't been here yet
today.
