Presumably Stowmarket D.G.L., for which there is no timing report, is a
Down Goods Loop.

Do you think there might have been a fault on the train which meant it lost
time up until that point and it was recessed and repaired at Stowmarket?

Timing points of diversions are never reported on RTT so we'll never know.

It lost time to Stowmarket so that's a reasonable assumption. There's a
depot at Ipswich so the surprise should be that it took so long to get
back on the move but it isn't.

I suspect it was down to the widespread distribution due to storm
whatsisname, I don't know for sure on that train's route, but many parts of
the network were affected by flooding, trees, trampolines etc.

Good point. I missed that in part because the weather has been remarkably
clement here since before New Year - we seem to have been in the eye of the
last couple of storms so I wasn’t thinking about that.
