I have a friend who has a PURE Chronos radio with DAB and FM. It moved
to totally the wrong time for no apparent reason then when she
switched if off and on again, it reverted to the correct time. She is
wondering how this occurred. I thought it would check the time
periodically (as a radio controlled clock does) and reset if required.

Failure of the bit of microcontroller code used to decode the time data.
Turn off and on causes a reset.

She is asking if any other equipment on the server could be affected
but I suggested - from you explanation - not. Thanks very much.

It seems to vary, many display how many hours since it last checked the
time. One of mine that I was using to set my watch a few days ago,
seems to check every hour but I think some others check much less
frequently.

My Roberts, apparently keeps good time, but the Pure on the clock change day
only did it when I unplugged it and plugged it in again. I suspect a
software bug.

I think so. My Pure Siesta coped seamlessly but my friend's Chronos
showed completely the wrong time at one stage.
