"AOMEI Backupper is a backup tool that supports basic as well as advanced backup procedures. You can use the software to simply back up selected files or folders, or you can use disk imaging options to back up your entire operating system, selected drives or partitions.

The program also includes options to clone a partition or drive volume from one to another, however this option does not support migrating your system to a new hard drive - an upgrade to the paid version is required for that.

Additional backup options include scheduling, backup compression and splitting, optional skipping of empty sectors and support for VSS to backup files that are in use.

AOMEI Backupper also includes several additional utilities that enable you to explore backup images, create bootable media and verify the integrity of your backup sets."

AOMEI Backupper is able to do an incremental clone of a system partition
to another drive or partition, but only the paid version will make the
clone bootable. There might be a way to make the clone bootable outside
of AOMEI Backupper, but if there is I'm unaware of how to do that.

The program is also very problematic on Windows 7 machines:

https://www.aomeitech.com/kb/backupper/Windows-stuct-at-loading-ambakdrv.html

This happened to me when I was running W7, and it took me several
infuriating days to figure out what the problem was. I contacted AOMEI
about the problem, asking if they were going to fix it and they said
that they were not going to do so.

I'd been using a version of AOMEI Backupper which had worked perfectly
(but with that one limitation I mentioned above.) When I allowed an
update to (I believe) version 4.6.1 of AB, the driver problem started.

With great prejudice, I removed AOMEI Backupper from my system and tried
using EaseUS Todo Backup Free, but that program locked up and I had to
remove it.

Since I downgraded to W10, I haven't tried another backup program
because they all seem to have major faults or one kind or another.

Others in this group have recommended some backup program from Iran, but
given current events in the world, I won't even consider using that one.

So that I don't see them, I filter out crossposts (messages sent to

If you do the same, the group will be easier for you to read.

I've been using Backupper 4.1.0 Standard on Windows 7 for years. No
problems that I can remember. It does almost everything as the
Professional Edition (scheduling, image [disk, partition, full,
incremental, differential, exploring, cloning], backup [disk, file],
file sync) except merge images and email notification, IIRC. I can
live without the missing features.

I don't have a download link for this version but maybe Google can be
of help. If not, I can share my copy to a download service like File
Convoy.

I've posted Updates to Hasleo Backup Suite Free in the past.
At least for now, I wouldn't need the feature to migrate a system to a new hard drive.
Hasleo seems to be the type of backup program that John C. has wanted, but he is reluctant to try it.

I still use v4.0.6.0 on my laptop:

<http://www2.aomeisoftware.com/download/adb/4.0.6/ABPro.exe>

Mine was a giveaway from circa 2017. No bugs, so far.

Not the same package. Despite what states the About pane (v4.1.0 and
88.6MB), mine is actually v4.1.1 (98.6MB MD5
c611e617dd5822b72b2e33f6acb91f95).

Backupper older versions are pretty slick. Newer versions though are
mostly bloatware.

Allen don't waste your time on John, the village idiot is a lost soul.
If it was not for Usenet nobody would ever hear the voice of John or be
interested in his opinion. One thing he has is that he is a male, unlike
those confused men who want to wear lipstick and suck penises.  Is a
free opinion covered under the general licensing of freeware.

Just to add to Nic's comment. John "The Yenta" is the guy who at least
once quit this group, and now spends most of his time kissing Allan's
ass for incessantly posting repetitive updates.
