Hi,

I'm in the process of building my first Z280 Laptop.
I want to use an AMD MACH230 device for the address logic and any other
logic. So far I succeeded to build an programming adapter for the
MACH230 on an ALL-11 programmer and I got the DATA I/O software for the
device.
What I still miss is information about the node or buried register
numbering of the MACH230. I did not find anything in the MACH databook
from AMD or Lattice.
Has anybody this information or can give me an hint where I can find it.
Any help at all is very much appreciated, because if I don't get the
information, I have to change my Z280 design using PAL or GAl devices
and I'm not sure if everything will fit on a EURO card design (sigh)

Regards
Robert

It's been a LONG time since I worked with AMD's MACH2xx series, specifically the MACH231SP and MACHPRO / MACHXL software. The MACH230 datasheet shows in Table 2 on Page 6 that the even macrocells (M0-M14) have outputs while the odd macrocells (M1-M15) are buried nodes. That is confirmed by Figure 1 on Page 7. As to how that relates to DATA I/O software, I have no idea as I've never used that software.

why don't you use CPLDs like XC95xxXL? They are similar to the MACH230.

Hi,

The reason I use the MACH230 is I have some MACH230 , I have a complete
design environment and they are 5-Volt devices.
Nevertheless I will take a look at the XC95xxXl
