The jazz on the end, was a suitably formatted math symbol -- it
recognized it was 2^n series, and it summed from 0 to 7 for 2^n,
which is more than just adding numbers. Presumably my question
"fit a pattern" a little too well.

I suppose if I used a random number generator and asked it to add
that up, it would become all pissy-eyed. Because the question would
not have enough fun for the AI.

The message length limit is 500 characters, and you can break it up.

"For example, split 1/2 This is the first part of my message. followed by
split 2/2 This is the second part of my message.
"

That might not be enough space, to get it to do my taxes.

Can anyone tell me how to disable ( or uninstall ) Copilot in Win 11
23H2. I have both home and Pro versions, and I am running local accounts
on all computers. A Registry entry would be ideal if this is possible.

It is formerly named Bing Chat. which may account for it being
hard to find, otherwise. This for example, I caught this on the
machine, in a Temp directory. But there's no sign of a copy of it.
Can't track what update package, delivered this executable. I did not
keep a copy (thought it was malware).

To me, that article is about disabling or hiding Copilot, not about
removing it. Most articles that I found online are about disabling
Copilot, so the user doesn't see it anymore. That's not removing it.
Could be Copilot relies on system components that should not be removed.

This is like "removing" IE from Windows which merely hides it. Its libs
still exist since they may be used by other programs, like HTAs (HTML
Applications). Not seeing it isn't the same as it does not exist.

It's like a tot sitting on your lap covering their eyes with their hands
saying "You can't see me". Uh huh. The tot is still there on your lap.

From other online reading, Copilot is not an app (UWP) or program
(Win32), but a subset of Edge pointing to the [Chat]GPT search engine
via Bing. Made it easy to add access to Copilot from Edge-C. On some
Windows versions, it can be started via:

You're loading Windows Explorer (both a file manager and desktop GUI
manager) to point at a microsoft-edge:// schemed URL. Edge-C and
Copilot are dependent.

I doubt you want to remove Edge-C (Chromium variant of Edge aka new
Edge) even if you don't use it (I use Firefox as my primary web browser,
and Edge as a backup since Chrome is no longer needed with Edge-C, and
Edge-C is more secure than Chrome).

Why not ask CoPilot this question? I just did it for you and got this
answer:

"I understand that you would like to uninstall Copilot from your system.
According to a Microsoft Community post, Copilot is a built-in feature
of Windows 11 and cannot be uninstalled like a regular app. However, you
can disable it through Taskbar settings. If you want to ensure it�s
completely disabled and not just accessible through Taskbar settings,
you�ll need to use the Group Policy Editor. This method is available for
Windows 11 Pro, Enterprise, or Education editions. Navigate to User
Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows
Copilot in the Group Policy Editor. Then, double-click on �Turn off
Windows Copilot� and select �Enabled� to remove Copilot entirely. I hope
this helps!"

It's not a good idea to remove it because it can answer most questions
for you like the one you just asked.
