All the entries in Agent's Trash bin show only the number of lines,
nothing else. Not had that before.

Is there an easy solution I wonder?

A. If the Trash folder's 00xxxxxx.DAT file [†] were deleted then the
'Subject' and 'Author' columns would go blank, but you should still
see both the number of lines _and_ the date.

One thing which can cause this to happen is:
* First, you sent a message to the trash folder.
The message contained an attachment with a virus.
* Then, your AV while scanning Agent's data files found that
virus and quarantined the file containing it. The
quarantined file is the trash folder's 00xxxxxx.DAT file.

If this were the case you might be able to fix it by getting your
AV to restore the .DAT file from quarantine. This would only work
reliably if there have been no other changes to the trash folder
since the quarantine -- no compacting, no empty trash, no sending
other files to the trash folder. Otherwise the 00xxxxxx.DAT file
would not be in sync with the 00xxxxxx.IDX file. And even if it
works, your AV might just quarantine the .DAT file again

B. Quarantining the 00xxxxxx.DAT file should not cause the dates to
disappear. If the dates have also disappeared, maybe the
message list column widths have been changed.

You can adjust the column widths by placing the mouse between
two column headers, where the mouse pointer changes to a <-|->
and then use click-and-drag to move the column divisions.

C. If the 00xxxxxx.DAT file has not been quarantined and the columns
have not been changed, you could try using "File >> Repair Selected
Folders". I strongly recommend making a backup of the trash folder's
DAT and IDX files before you do this.

"Repair Selected Folders" is a one-way street. If the cause needs
a different fix than "Repair Selected Folders", you will need the
backup so you can go back to a point where you can apply the
different fix.

____
FOOTNOTE

[†] 00xxxxxx.DAT file
Each message folder in Agent corresponds to two files on your
hard drive, a 00xxxxxx.DAT file and a matching 00xxxxxx.IDX file.
To see the actual names of these files for any given folder,
i) select the folder
ii) go to Folder >> Properties >> Name and Scheme
iii) look at the bottom of the panel
