Hi All,

W11 has a weird way of getting you to Devices and Printers.
This will get you straight to it:

<win><R> explorer.exe shell:::{A8A91A66-3A7D-4424-8D24-04E180695C7A}

You an also create a shortcut with the above.

For a system using English, you can just type Winkey followed by D and
hit enter.

Does nothing on my machine, so I am doing it wrong.
Would you show an example?

Hi Andy,

That was wonderfully written.

I was pressing the "Windows" key on my keyboard.
I did not know you meant the Windows icon taskbar
to get the Chrome Book interface up.

You also brought me to the wrong place. This is
the place I targeted:

https://imgur.com/rzDZECF.png

On my Linux Xfce Panel 1 launcher (Mac OS calls it
a "Dock"), I have an icon to a file with all
my favorite Windows commands. I just copy and paste
them to Any Desk to do remote support. When I am on
site, I have a read only flash drive that I have mirrored
the file to. I just copy and paste. It helps me keep
my mind one track mind on track of task at hand and
not frustrated trying to decipher where Rube Goldberg
decided to put something "this week".

You can also get there with the Chrome Book UI method:

--> Pay homage to Rube Goldberg:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rube_Goldberg_machine
"A Rube Goldberg machine, named after American cartoonist
Rube Goldberg, is a chain reaction–type machine or
contraption intentionally designed to perform a simple
task in an indirect and (impractically) overly complicated
way. Usually, these machines consist of a series of
simple unrelated devices; the action of each triggers
the initiation of the next, eventually resulting in
achieving a stated goal."
--> click on the Windows icon on task bar
--> in the search bar at the top, type in "dev"
--> select Control Panel below on the left
--> select Devices and Printers
--> select "Printers and Scanners"
--> select any printer
--> scroll down to and select "More device
and printer settings"

Windows 11 is such a kluge. You can see why I prefer to just
create a icon or to copy and paste to <win><R>. But to each
his own.

Windows 7 & 10:
--> Start
--> control panel
--> Devices and Printers

or <win><R> control printers
or <win><R> printmanagement.msc

Linux Xfce:
--> Applications
--> Administration
--> print settings

Thank you for the pdf!

-T

It sadly doesn't work if there's a better 'Best match'.

For example I have a program called 'Desktop-Reminder 2' and that will
be the 'Best match', not 'Bluetooth & devices'.

To let it work for me, I have to type 'B' (of 'Bluetooth') instead of
'D'. But for yet another person, there might be a better 'Best match'
for 'B'.

But, as it works for you, good on you! :-)

I actually started off typing "DEV" until I noticed that it already
matched by the time I just typed "D", so just keep typing more of
"DEVICES" until it matches ...
