Hi All,

When you need to switch a network from public to private
or private to public, and you do not what to pay homage
to Rube Goldberg, I have found it is easiest to go
straight to the registry. Uncomment (;) which one you
want below. Then reboot.

Public / Private network switch from the Registry:

In the registry, first identiry the {xxxx} from
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\NetworkList\Profiles\

Then switch "catagory" to the type of network you want. For example:
if {xxxx} was {162BD447-E88F-4AC3-90B6-0E064CE044E0}

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\NetworkList\Profiles\{xxxx}]
"Category"=dword:00000001
; 0 = Public
; 1 = Private
