LAS VEGAS (KLAS) Three motorcyclists injured in a shooting on U.S. 95 in
2022 filed a lawsuit Tuesday accusing a Henderson business of helping
Hells Angels members in the minutes afterward.

Alejandro Castillo, Carrie Chapin and Ricardo Velazquez filed the
complaint against Southern Nevada Powersports Group, known as Henderson
Harley-Davidson, in Clark County District Court.

The May 29, 2022, shooting on the highway, which injured seven, was
between the Hells Angels and rival gang, Vagos, police said. Prosecutors
have said the shooting may have been in retaliation for a previous murder
in California involving the two groups. In all, eight men, including the
chapter president, face criminal charges.

The bikers were part of a Memorial Day weekend ride through Arizona and
southern Nevada. Videos shown to a grand jury in June 2022 included
members of the Hells Angels at the Henderson dealership minutes after the
shooting.

Surveillance video showed three Hells Angels members, Stephen Alo, Richard
DeVries and Cameron Treich, coming to the and storing their motorcycles in
the business service area, transcripts said.

In court documents, the three plaintiffs said they received significant,
life-threatening injuries in the shooting. The lawsuit also cites
prosecutors claims that members of the Hells Angels stored their
motorcycles at the business afterward.

Defendants employees were complicit in their actions since they were
aware the shooting was going to take place and made arrangements for the
motorcycle gang members to hide their motorcycles at the place of
business, documents said.

Seven of the eight men initially faced more than 30 charges of conspiracy
to commit murder, attempted murder, further or assisting a criminal gang,
battery and racketeering charges, among others, documents said. The
racketeering charges accused the group of being part of a criminal
syndicate. Last year, Clark County District Court Judge Tierra Jones
removed the racketeering and gang charges. Jones also reduced many of the
charges.

Prosecutors have not provided evidence in the criminal case that
representatives from the dealership were aware of the shooting, though
they note some motorcycles had damage.

A trial in the criminal case was scheduled for May. A hearing was not
scheduled in the civil case, which only names the business, not the
individuals charged.

Representatives from the dealership did not immediately respond to a
request for comment.
