Anyone herein know which oh-so-foreign tongue(s) all of these wacky postings are in?

At first glance I thought it looked a bit like Hebrew (perhaps connected to the just-commenced Jewish New Year of 5784), but that can't be right; nor do they seem to be in any language employing the Cyrillic alphabet...at least I don't THINK so.

And does this protracted annoyance constitute a "hacking" of alt-obits, or just a mere hijacking by some guy or gal in one of those so-called "Stan" countries who doesn't understand we generally use only English in these e-parts?

I have a killfilter on anything posted with a gmail.com address, so all
this stuff sorts itself out and dies dies dies. (I create exceptions
for known good posters.)

Be cause it posted multiple URLs in each message, and multiple
messages with the same URLs in them. What sincere person would do
that? Also, it posted hundreds of times within a few hours, meaning a
robot was used. What sincere person uses a robot to post hundreds of
times?

I agree that it's a bad actor who's doing this, but *why*? What's the
point?

It's a bot. It's not a person to be reasoned with. There is never a benign
reason to use a bot.

(I am guessing that the LATEST e-bombardment language is Arabic,
since the source of the weird characters relates to the United
Arab Emirates).

It's Arabic and most of the posts have to do with a pitch for an abortion pill
from the Al Nahdi Pharmacy...
