1) I read three of his books two or three years after meeting him.

2) I read three of his books within two to three years after meeting him.

3) I read three of his books two to three years after meeting him.

4) I read three of his books between two to three years after meeting him.

Which would be true if:

I read two of his books two years after I met him and another one three years after.

I don't really understand '2'.

What is the difference between 'within two to three years' and 'within three years'?

Does it mean not earlier than two years?

I have never heard that. "Between" would always be the word,
not "within" unless you said "within the range of".
