I'm now interested in why you can't understand me. Copied to the English usage forum for a second opinion.

The first sentence is easy, I'm saying you interpreted it to mean the opposite of what I said.
The second sentence is simply stating the other of the two things mentioned is what I'm classing as small (and therefore petty to fuss over).
The third sentence is stating it's petty to take the small problem of things not being signed for, and treat it seriously enough to reconsider a £10 million contract.

I wonder if using double the amount of words makes it easier for you.
