William (or Thomas) Sherlock Scott Holmes was born on
the 6th of January, 1854, at the farmstead of Mycroft, near
Sigerside, in the North Riding of Yorkshire.

This is what William Baring-Gould has to say on the matter,
so everything else is wrong,

When SH was resurrected in the recent TV series, Watson's reaction was not fainting, but .......

No, just PTD being fiercely opposed to Baring-Goulds scholarly approach
to all things Sherlockian.

He just couldn't take the rather British sense of humour of it,

i prefer the Notes (Annotations) in the Oxford SH series.
