Though most installations are downtown near Pioneer Courthouse Square
and the World Trade Center buildings, dozens of other locations across
the city have installments. They can be found in someone?s front yard,
traffic intersections, food cart pods, the Portland International
Airport and even a goat farm.

Event organizers expect around 200,000 people to partake in the
festival.

Well then, that's good news. They can undeclare the 90-day state of
emergency and not spend all those millions of dollars on a crisis that
doesn't exist.

lqtm, how pleasantly optimistic--or something. I think our governor
and her troops are just getting started. Millions? How quaint. I guess
you didn't understand what I said about property values. At this point
the legislature has committed $1.5 Billion to these problems. I think
that everyone understands that this is just a small down payment.
They're waiting for our experts to tell them how much money they have to
spend before we start getting to bigger numbers.

I wasn't kidding when I said everyone expects to retire rich here
when they sell their home and "downsize". Between the whole gang
invested in Portland, we're talking serious money. I don't think there
are a lot of people who care about addicts dying. It's not even a big
number when compared to other stupid ways of dying. They do care about
their personal funds--Big Time.

This is also BTW the heart of the homeless problem. If we allow
people to build a lot of cheap houses, it reduces the value of existing
housing and you end up with a lot of poor people stinking up the place.
The politicians have to find a cheap way to put people in beds without
reducing property values. The problem is so simple that I'm sure any
internet genius can solve it.

Well hey. The mayor of Portland said:
----------------------------------------------------------
"People are coming back to Portland. They?re having great experiences.
They?re telling people that things have really improved here in the city
of Portland. The Portland Winter Lights Festival will bring even more

There's either a crisis or there's not. Which is it?

I guess I underestimated the savings by undeclaring the crisis. Saving
billions is even better.

If it's simple, then the governor and the mayor ought to be able to
solve it. But first, your leaders have got to make up their minds
about whether there is or isn't a crisis. Do you think there's a crisis?

I'm sorry, but if you want to troll me you will have to make it
more interesting than that. As I have often mentioned: "I am not going
to play word games with you." I know you enjoy them. I don't.

Senor Smoke is among the most self-righteous, pompous ass, thinks he
knows it all people I've ever encountered. I'm sure his retort will live
up to his reputation.

I suggest that you read my first sentence again. Slowly, so there's
some chance you might comprehend what the words mean. To help you I'm
going to say it the way my biggest fan would say it. "yawn"

Thank you for once again confirming the obvious. You don't have
to deny it. I'll bet that you have made more comments about my posts
than any other human being, living or dead. It's an amazing
accomplishment.

You two remind me of back when I first discovered this group.
Back then Will Sill was proudly wearing his safety engineer badge and
Lon was his wannabe off and on sidekick. It was sort of like watching
the old "I Love Lucy Show", only with bad manners. You are clearly the
stereotypical bummbling sidekick wannnabe.

Yeah, it pretty much reads that way to me too--along with over 90%
of the rest of the posts. Just about all you and your dark shadow do is
troll. Somewhere around here there's an anal probe with your
fingerprints on it that proves my point.

I still can't believe anyone thought that troll was subtle. The
only way you could have been less subtle is if you found a way to make
your post with a sledgehammer, instead of a keyboard. It was so obvious
that I seriously thought that you knew I was kidding along. OTOH with
you lol leading me down the garden path I was prepared to go much
deeper.

A hint for future use: The guys who make anal trolls are all
sensitive about their own anus. Most of the time it's easy to make them
regret this troll.

I'd still like to know if you think there's a fentanyl crisis in
Portland that justifies a 90-day state of emergency.

That's part of Senor Dodge's modus operandi when he can't come up with a
reasonable reply... which is pretty much every time.

Good luck with getting anything but a dodge and/or name calling for an

Hey, how about that? We're finally down to a sort of half way
almost straight queston. Here's the thing. I need to tell you my basic
disclosure, again. I ain't beem downtown since last Summer. There's just
nothing I need there. SO, most of what I know is what I see on the boob-
tube amd read on the internet. The answer to your question would be
blindingly obvious if you had paid attention to what I have telling you.
Both Fakes News and the Light show are.......,hmmm.......... I think the
best word is probably propaganda. They are not exactly lies, but they
are far from a realistic picture. Basically the junkies and the
alcoholics just move to one side, sort of like the tide. Everyone just
ignores them from a habit that began before any of us were born. Several
of our missions have been downtown since any of us were born. At you
might guess that both helps esplain the problem downtown and why the
nnatives are used to it. It's the crazies that you really have to watch
out for. They are all "unsightly" and having a netative effect on
property values.

Any dweeb that knows *anything* about politics knows the governor
_needs_ to put on her show.

I have already talked about justifications and how the fentanyl
"crisis" campares to the many other stupid ways people find to die. None
of that matters. Everyone is expecting a good show. Win, lose, or draw,
I expect we will get our money's worth because it will be a good show.
If nothing else I expect our politicians will know a little bit more
about the problem when she's done.

This is nuthin'. During my lifetime and when I was old enough to
understand it, Portland elected another known corrupt mayor, because
corruption was considered good for business. Seriously, I don't need to
make this stuff up.

Instead of all the pomposity, why not just answer yes or no? We all know
you like to show your ass with your attempts at wowing us with your
brilliance. Well let me tell you, it's not working. In my, according to
you, simple mind, I can recognize a question that only requires a yes or
no answer and not a dissertation. You blow more smoke than a volcanic
eruption.

Hey. Look on the bright side - that was his short version.

One of the many probelms with your trolls is that you assume
everything is strictly black and white with simple yes or no answers.
The situation and my opinion isn't nearly that simple, even if you are.

And yet still no real answer. You sure you’re not the governor of The
Garden of Oregon? You make politicians proud.

https://www.google.com/maps/@32.1769317,-83.1812334,3a,23.1y,108.44h,87t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1skNvC37f7VHayCyYK5ywFlQ!2e0!7i16384!8i8192?hl=en&entry=ttu

Every time I drive by it going to or from Walmart, I get one of those
