Less than seven hours from now--sometime (but only instantaneously) during the minute of 11:06 pm Eastern, to be specific--the leading edge of the apparent sun crosses the above the Equator, constituting the Vernal Equinox and the commencement of Spring 2024 for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere. (Southern Hemispherists must correspondingly contemplate the onset of [Southern] Autumn and then the looming [Southern] Winter 2024.)

May this be a season for love and contentment for all of us obit-focussed folk.
