Laurent de Brunhoff,born August 30th 1925,who as a boy was told bedtime
stories by his mother (1903-2003) of an elephant named Babar that were then
turned into illustrated books by his father (1899-1937) that Laurent grew
up to continue,died March 22nd 2024 according to the NY Times and others.

I assume Celesteville is in mourning.
