It's a damn shame that a place as beautiful as the PNW is being ruined
by asylum inmates who are in office.

Nothing new here and nothing I haven't posted about in the past. I
don't know what that woman expected. Portland has always had its
problems. Even in Portland itself most of us aren't affected by them.
It's a big city. You can find similar pictures from any big city.

"Homelessness in Texas on the rise amid high housing costs, federal
estimates show"

Homelessness rose last year across nearly every demographic group, but
strides were made to connect people with new housing.

BY JOSHUA FECHTER
JAN. 11, 2024

"Homelessness in Texas grew by more than 12% in 2023, in line with
national trends, according to estimates released by the U.S. Department
of Housing and Urban Development last month. More than 27,000 Texans did
not have a permanent roof over their heads when advocates and volunteers
across the country walked Texas streets on a night last January to
conduct the Point-in-Time Count annual estimate of people experiencing
homelessness. About 43% of those ? or some 11,700 people ? lived on the
streets."

"Unsettling amount of fecal matter found on Texas beaches, study says
Two beaches in Galveston exceeded the U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency's safety threshold for more than 25 percent of testing days.
