Eleanor Coppola, the Emmy award-winning director, artist and writer, died Friday at her home in Rutherford, California, her family announced in a statement. She was 87. Coppola, also known as a documentarian, won an Emmy award in 1992 for her film Hearts of Darkness, which chronicled the infamously tortured production of her husband Francis Ford Coppola’s film Apocalypse Now. She also directed romantic comedies Paris Can Wait (2016) and Love Is Love Is Love (2020).
