The last in a tasting marathon, but this time I wasn’t driving, so much less spitting! On Rob’s lovely deck (the horrible air from the Canadian fires previous days was gone), local non serious group were drinking Macon and Beaujolais. Rob had out cheeses, then grilled chicken and asparagus, served with roast potatoes

I was late, and got the last pour (unblind) of the 2020 Nicolas Maillet "Le Chemin Blanc," Tropical fruit profile but with good acids and stony finish. Unusual but good. B/B+

After that wines were blind
White #2 Sweet, peachy, some vanilla aromas, not really a fan. 2020 Frantz Chagnoleau Saint Veran B-

Wine #3 - I thought this was maybe one of the Lafon Macon, except it didn’t have any real oak signature. Very good with balanced acids, perfumed white fruit, quite long. 2021 Thevenet/Clos de L’Ermitage Saint Claude VV Saint- Veran. B+

Red #1 - fairly big, some tannin, I thought Morgon or Moulin-a-Vent. Finishes a bit too ripe for me,.
2020 Ch. de Fleurie Fleurie B-

Red #2 (mine , no guesses) Quite ripe, some interesting spicy red fruit, some forest floor, moderate length.
2015 Foillard Morgon B/B+

Red #3 - light, easy, fresh crunchy red fruits. 2021 Lafont/Domaine de Bel Air “Les Granits Bleus” Beaujolais -Villages B

Red #4 - some funky barnyard, sweet red cherry, quite long. 2014 Foillard Cote du Py Morgon A-/B+

Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent wine, B a good wine, C drinkable. Anything below C means I wouldn't drink at a party where it was only choice. Furthermore, I offer no promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.
