Well... it depends on what you
mean by "goofy" -- does it not?
i looked for online Nroff simulators
or emulators and was able to find
none!

Plain text must always be rendered in monospace font, and
may be justtified by character (rather than by interword
space):

Get Norman Joseph's nawk script. Was printed in that sed & awk book some
years back. Found several copies online.
