These questions were written to be asked in Toronto on 2014-03-03,
and should be interpreted accordingly. All questions were written
by members of the Cellar Rats, but have been reformatted and may
have been retyped and/or edited by me. I will reveal the correct
answers in about 3 days.

For further information, including an explanation of the """
notation that may appear in these rounds, see my 2022-09-09
companion posting on "Reposted Questions from the Canadian
Inquisition (RQFTCI*)".

* Game 7, Round 7 - Geography - Latitude and Longitude

In each case, name the city. Cities #1-4 are capitals of Canadian
provinces. For example, we say 43°40'N, 79°24'W, you say Toronto.

1. 48°25'N, 123°21'W.
2. 46°48'N, 71°13'W.
3. 53°34'N, 113°28'W.
4. 47°34'N, 52°43'W.

Cities #5-10 are well-known national capitals.

5. 23°8'N, 82°23'W.
6. 19°26'N, 99°7'W.
7. 48°52'N, 2°20'E.
8. 52°32'N, 13°22'E.
9. 55°45'N, 37°36'E.
10. 35°40'N, 139°45'E.

* Game 7, Round 8 - Entertainment - Father Knew Best

Before the late 1980s and "Married... with Children" introduced
us to a generation of dysfunctional TV dads, fathers on television
were wise and stolid; sometimes they seemed stern, but they always
had their children's best interests at heart.

Please see the 2-page handout at:

http://www.eskimo.com/~scs/msb/7-8/dad.pdf

We give you the name of a classic (mostly 1950s-1980s) TV show, and
you tell us which picture shows the actor who played the father in
that show. Note that the pictures don't always show the actor in
character for the show. Some of the shows were in color, but the
handout isn't.

1. "Happy Days".
2. "Brady Bunch".
3. "The Waltons".
4. "Family Ties".
5. "My Three Sons".
6. "Eight is Enough".
7. "Father Knows Best".
8. "Diff'rent Strokes".
9. "Leave it to Beaver".
10. "Little House on the Prairies".

Decode the rot13 if you want to see the 6 decoys and answer them
for fun, but for no points.

11. "Obanamn".
12. "Gur Zhafgref".
13. "Tebjvat Cnvaf".
14. "Ybfg va Fcnpr".
15. "Gur Pbhegfuvc bs Rqqvr'f Sngure".
16. "Snzvyl Nssnve" (guvf punenpgre jnf npghnyyl na hapyr, ohg
npgrq nf n sngure).
