According to this
https://books.google.com.au/books?id=9grfzIOb6cEC&pg=PA395 Ninfa
Groppo's daughter Giovanna Corvino married Girolamo Ventimiglia, by whom
she was mother to Francesco, prince of Belmontino and Giuseppe, marquis
of Mezzojuso.

Yes, Giovanna was born 1640. She was a very good mother, her grandchildren and great Grandchildren married very well in noble families like Spinosa, Sanseverino, etc.

I'm not at all sure what your "Yes" is agreeing to - 1640 is in the 17th
century by English-speaking convention, not the 16th as stated in your
post, while your assertion that the daughter of Ninfa Groppo and
Melchiore Corvino married Francesco Ventimiglia is contradicted by the
book linked above clearly identifying her husband as Girolamo.

Giovanna was Ninfas youngest daughter born about 1640. Melchiore is a man, the husband of Ninfa. You are right about Ninfa, she was born about 1620 (20 years later than I thought).

Once again without providing any support for your alleged information
you are contradicting the book linked above - according to this, the
youngest daughter of Melchiore Corvino and Ninfa Groppo was Francesca,
wife of Giuseppe Platamone. Her marriage contract was dated 15 May 1668,
indicating that she was probably born well after 1640.

You are of course right. Francesca was born 1650, 10 years later. I forgot her, my memory is not as good as it used to.
