Dear Group. I have been trying to make sense of the pedigree of Southill.Sothill,Soothill etc.

I have that Alice Southill a daughter of a Henry Southill married John Harington. I saw a post by Robert O'Connor that asked about them.

Can someone give a pedigree that would detail the Southill line from Henry father of Alice back?

Never mind. Found what you say in the archives. The Haringtons of Rutland are not my family line. I'll look forward to seeing what is said about the Southills, however. Cheers,

This is a different line than my Southill ancestry, which is murky just like the one you are asking about!

I don't know how this fits into your query, but many of the Southills seem to begin with this pedigree, Sothill of Rebourne:

I'm looking at it myself and I cannot find the common point between Alice Southill and this line.

If anyone does find more information, I too will be following this with interest as my Sothill ancestry ends with Elizabeth Sothill Drury, daughter of Henry Sothill, Esq., Attorney General to King Henry VII, and Joan Empson.
