The will of Thomas Shotbolt was written 29 May 1693. He mentions eldest son named
Batalion, also daughters Mary and Jane. He asked to be buried near late father Philip
Shotbolt of Bradley. Son John was executor.

Batalion Shotbolt sort of sounds like an early, primitive firearm ... He is shown near the bottom of the Shotbolt pedigree in Chauncey's Hertfordshire.
