Dear all,

I have just read Supplement 211 entitled "DICOMweb support for the application/zip payload", and I know that this document is still tagged as "In work":
https://www.dicomstandard.org/supplements

Would it be possible to have an update about this supplement?

Kind Regards,
Sébastien-

Hi Sébastien

Sup 211 is in the process of being withdrawn.

To quote from an internal email from the supplement editor:

"Supplement 211 was predicated on a false assumption that one could request all of metadata, bulkdata and pixel data, and possibly rendered data in a single request. This isn't actually possible to do, and without being able to do that, several of the core use cases for supplement 211 don't actually work, or are better done in other ways."

There will be an updated recorded in the WG 27, WG 6 and DSC minutes when this withdrawal is completed

There may or may not be future work proposed in this direction, but for now you may assume it is dead in its current form.

David
