Dear Part15 implementers,

A naive implementation of action 'X' in the following case :

Overlay Data (60xx,3000) N Y X C

Would create a DICOM file with two issues:

1. It would violates the Overlay Plane Module (*),
2. It would confuse some pre-2004 implementation (Overlay data stored in unused bit planes of Pixel Data)

Could someone please describe what exactly is expected in the case of Basic Profile (action 'X') ?
