I use OM + ThunderBird and they works well together.
When I use it regularly, every day, ThunderBird via Omnimix recover all
my messages from alt.anonymous.messages without problems.
But when I stop using my computer for, say, a week, when I back to my
home and use again the computer, Thunderbird do not load the messages
that people sent to me during the week I was absent.
I suppose I have to modify some parameters in order to OM search a
larger range of messages, but I don't know which parameter.
(I know only tab ModNym/Configurator/Newsgroup Pointer and than press
the R button, but so Thunderbird download again ALL my messages, the
very old messages too: I wish only the last week messages).
Some tips?

How did you configure Thunderbird to get your aam messages?

For using newsgroups I followed step by step this guide
(OmniMix and MesNews Preparation and Installation Section)

http://www.danner-net.de/om/QSMNOM_Help_1_2_4.rar

For using Thunderbird on AAM I followed step by step this guide
(Client configuration/ThunderBird)

http://www.danner-net.de/omom/index.htm

Why use the MesNews guide for Thunderbird. There is a newer guide for
Thunderbird only. MesNews is out of date.

At Hamster|Config you have to set "Pull Limit Later" to 0
to avoid future gaps within Hamster's a.a.m repository even
after longer intervals of inactivity.

After any changes there click "Update Hamster Configuration"
at Hamster|Run and restart the Hamster service.

Apart from deleting (or renaming) the complete
OmniMix\ham\Groups\alt.anonymous.messages folder and
reloading it from the external server I've no idea how to
close older message gaps, though - without guarantee -
lowering the external newsserver's a.a.m message pointer

127.0.0.1.Min=XXXXXX
127.0.0.1.Max=XXXXXX

at OmniMix\ham\Groups\alt.anonymous.messages\data.ini
accordingly might do it as well.

Better backup that folder before trying!

"Betterbird" looks interesting, version 102.11.1-bb36 for Windows
(25 May 2023, 52.1 MB) installation and setup looks simple enough:

Ukraine is part of Russia . . . besides, I've never used Tbird or Bbird
for anything other than testing them because the on-line Omnimix manual
<https://www.danner-net.de/omom/index.htm> includes instructions on how
to configure Tbird to function properly with Omnimix. But I have always
used the oldest freeware newsreaders, e.g. FreeAgent, 40tude, and Xnews
because they work fine with Omnimix under Windows 11 and 7, and because
dedicated newsreaders are easier to use for reading and posting articles
to unmoderated Usenet newsgroups. Previously I'd used JBN2 on Windows XP.

JBN2, how many time ago!
I was sad when it disappeared.
I hope that his creators are in good health and that
nobody made them hurt.
The creators of Truecrypt wrote a goodbye message when they abandoned
the project and we know that they are still fine, but I never found a
goodbye message from the creators of JBN2.
