Check out the picture of the geek who wrote the article in his fucking bowtie. And the dance is the Hitchhike, not the Hitchhiker. Where's the frug? And you don't include the Stroll in a 60s list. People were still doing lots of older dances in the 60s.

I take it you never saw "Cheers," or you'd recognize that century-old photo from the show's opening credits.

Okay, replace the Stroll with the Frug.

watch the guy in the plaid shirt and mom's jeans:
https://youtu.be/b0Iqxi57rro?t=116

Quote:
The Frug (pronounced "froog") was a dance craze from the 1960s that
evolved from another dance of the era, the Chicken. The Chicken, which
featured lateral body movements, was used primarily as a change of
pace step while doing the Twist. As young dancers grew more tired they
would do less work, moving only their hips while standing in place.
They then started making up arm movements for the dance, which
prompted the birth of the Swim, the Monkey, the Dog, the Watusi, the
Mashed Potato, and the Jerk. The Frug is sometimes referred to as the
Surf, Big Bea, and the Thunderbird.

the Skate and other dances (finishing with the Camel Walk):

Thanks Dean (for simply doing the decent thing).

Bruce, are you suitably embarrassed.

Both you and your mentor Roger were obviously desperate to find fault
with my populist post - this negative small mindedness is not
constructive newsgroup behavior :-)
