This information is for those wishing to run their own Rocksolid Light peer who also may wish to avoid the tedious work of configuring DNS, email, SSL certificates and other tedious server tasks. Hestia Control Panel does all the grunt work for you with a graphical interface. It will cut down configuration time dramatically as compared to hand editing config files.

HestiaCP is designed to run on a Debian VPS. It will automatically manage your letsencrypt SSL certificates, email, DNS, IPtables firewall, fail2ban, spam filters, backups, cron jobs, users, shells, files, logs, and more. It uses Apache+Nginx for serving web sites. HestiaCP also has an automatic app installer for a few useful apps like Flarum forum and WordPress.

If installing Rocksolid Light on a Hestia node, the admin must edit the nginx config for the web user to enable mod_prefork, which is disabled by the default Hestia install for extra security.

If you need PHP-fpm templates for Rocksolid Light be sure to add the config and spool paths to your basedir paths in the template nginx PHP configuration. One must enable the spool and config directories in the PHP basedir configuration or use directory /opt/ since the security blocks /var/ and /etc/ by default. If anyone runs into trouble figuring out how to do this ask in this thread and I'll try to whip up a template guide you can use.
