After more than four years, Daniele's genuine predictions are back! In
the meantime, I published a knock-off. And the real thing is very
different from the cheap imitation! (even though they are based on the
same data)

E.g., when you go from my approximation to Daniele's prediction:
- 1st cycle: Daniele podium: 47% to 0%
- Generally, the first two cycles: "some uncertainty about the podium"
to "the podium is locked"
- 5th cycle: Michael H. vs. Alberto podium: 71%-57% to 63%-63%
- 6th cycle: Jackson win: 98% to 100%
- 6th cycle: Leon podium: 54% to 7%
- 7th cycle: favorite for the win: Jackson 54% to Ville 66%
- 7th cycle: Ville podium: 44% to 94%
- 8th cycle: Leon win: 75% to 48%

Has Neymar officially retired from international football?

Navas was still getting caps last year. Neuer and Mandanda are OK bets
for more caps. Muniain is only 32, but the chances of a recall seem
pretty remote given how little he (in spite of being captain) gets to
play for Athletic Club (who have a pretty impressive set of young
attacking midfielders/forwards these days. In fact a Basque team would
have to be taken pretty seriously if it were allowed to enter the Euros
right now.

Neymar did say he had contemplated international retirement after
Brazil were knocked out of the Qatar World Cup, but he has since said
he will be ready in 2026. Whether he'll be fit enough is another
matter as he does seem to be a bit injury prone of late.

Nice question.
Just to add a couple of names: El Shaarawy and Verratti are just 31. The
former got 2 caps in the last international round. The latter got 4 caps
in 2023, and would have been called up again, hadn't he decided that he
wasn't fit.
But, above all, Marcelo just won the Copa Libertadores!!!
